Common membership questions:

What’s the difference between the oksport Office of Student Affairs and the American Student Dental Association (ASDA)?

The oksport and ASDA are two different organizations that work together to support you.

Here at the oksport, the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) advocates and supports dental students and faculty. The OSA provides credible solutions to help the dental school journey and the transition from dental school to life as a dentist. ASDA is an independent student-run association that protects and advances the rights, interests and welfare of student pursuing careers in dentistry.

How do I join the oksport and when does my membership expire?

As a student, in order to join the oksport, you must be a member of ASDA. Once you're a member of ASDA, you will automatically receive oksport student membership and full benefits. Both the oksport and ASDA are calendar-year memberships that expire December 31. Visit to join.

What do I do if I am missing oksport Benefits, like Joksport?

If you are not receiving your oksport benefits, like Joksport, the oksport may not have your mailing address. Contact the Member Service Center at msc@ada.org to update your information. Don’t forget to update your email address!
